Our Team Leader is Stephen Smyth, who has led the church
since inception. He is supported by a team of elders, the
board of trustees and the board of directors.
The current team of elders were formed in June 2006. The
elders are David Aicken, Edith Bell, Ernie Cahoon, Richard
Craig, Alan Hamill, Bob McGowan-Smyth, Grace Polley, Stephen
Smyth (Team Leader) and Marion Winter.
The Warehouse
Most of our activities take place at our main premises in
Newtownards. The Warehouse is a 10,000 sq ft building with
a main hall, a youth hall, a concourse area, a toddlers
hall and a suite of offices.
In a typical week during the school term, we can have around
700 people through the building.
Brief History
Northdown CFC is an amalgamation of three churches from the
Bangor, Dundonald and Newtownards area. Christian Fellowship
Church Newtownards was established in Newtownards in July
1993 as a church plant from Christian Fellowship Church in
Belfast.
Technical Stuff
Northdown Communityworks was incorporated as a general purpose
charitable company in November 1999. Communityworks is the
overall umbrella for the various initiatives undertaken.
Northdown CFC is a church
established under Trust.
Northdown Communityworks is a
company limited by guarantee, incorporated in Northern
Ireland, registration number NI37440.
Massive, The Warehouse (referred
to as Live at the Warehouse), Reverb, Second Half, Toddlers
Waddlers and Widdlers, Warehouse Youthclub (referred to as
Blisters) are independently constituted as unincorporated
associations.
