Church

Sunday mornings
The church meets every Sunday morning with conversation from 11am to around 12.15pm. Our service is informal with worship and a talk. Our worship bands use modern songs and instruments including guitars, bass guitar, electric keyboards, drums and flute.

We have a concourse area in the Warehouse where we have coffee after the service. All are very warmly welcome.

On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate Communion.

Q4 and small groups
Throughout the week we have Q4 and small groups that meet.

Q4 groups consist of three to five people meeting on an informal basis around an activity and then using one to four set questions to explore their experience of God.

Small groups meet in people's homes on a regular basis throughout the month.

Soul Cafe & Ernie's Bazaar - Wednesday evenings
These are meetings for adults that focuses on teaching, training and equipping as well as an opportunity to pray for each other.

Pastoral Care

Are you hurting? Pray. Do you feel great? Sing. Are you sick? Call for the church leaders to pray......... James Ch 5 v 13–20, The Message

Pastoral care takes place in many different ways in Northdown CFC.

There is:

  • Self care like praying and spending time with God
  • Community prayer requests at the Forum Wailing Wall
  • Caring for each other as friends and brothers and sisters
  • Being a mini-community together in small groups, Q4’s or task groups
  • Listening to each other’s confessions, supporting and praying for one another
  • Showing practical care when life hurts

Anyone one of us in the church can and should do these things as part of our everyday walk with God. We don’t set up any formal structures for what we believe is part of a normal caring community

If you have a specific need or are finding you need more help than the above can offer then there is:

  • A hospital or home visiting scheme for those who are ill or in need
  • A meals service
  • A one-to-one advice and counselling service that is confidential
  • Prayer ministry
  • Elders prayer at the monthly communion service
  • Elders prayer and/or a home or hospital visit for those who are sick or in need
  • Practical courses for finances, parenting, stress

To find out more about help when you are in specific need contact Edith Bell at the church office on 028 9182 1721 and she will be happy to discuss you needs confidentially with you and make sure that you get in contact with appropriate help. You can also email her on ed@communityworksoline.com.
