Young people can experience a variety of problems which can interrupt their school experience. These can include family conflict or breakdown, anxiety, bullying, relationship problems, bereavement, stress, inability to sleep, stress, or having difficulty at school/work. The impact of these problems may lead to self-harming behaviour, abuse of alcohol or the use of drugs.
Familyworks provides a counselling service to assist young people to cope with such events and not miss out on their educational opportunities.
Familyworks also provides an immediate Critical Incident Response where this is required.
Pupils who wish to contact a schools counsellor should arrange to do so through their school.
